Who is WinesTilSoldOut?
WTSO.com is an online store that focuses on selling wine at 30%-70% off original retail prices. It started as an in-store department of the parent company that will remain nameless so we can continue to get these great wines at ridiculous prices and pass them on to you!
I see only one item. Do you sell anything else?
We sell one wine at a time from midnight eastern standard time until it is sold out. We then present another offer until that one is sold out. We continue this cycle for 24 hours but we rarely offer more than five wines per day.
Is shipping always free?
Yes! As long as you buy the minimum number of bottles stated on the front page, shipping is free to wherever we can ship in the United States.
How do you determine comparable or "Best Web Price"?
We use Wine Searcher Pro (WSPro) and Google to find the lowest price offered in the U.S. 24 hours before an item is offered we search for the specific wine on WSPro and locate the store displaying the lowest price. We then initiate a sale for the comparable number of bottles to be shipped to the middle of the country (usually Chicago). We ensure our price of shipping that quantity is lower than the price of the same quantity shipped from that store.
Must I receive Emails to remain a member?
No, you can unsubscribe anytime in your account page. Please understand that we sell one wine at a time until our inventory is sold out so there is no fixed time that a wine changes. Every time we start to sell another product we send out a notification by multiple methods.
We understand that our customer’s preference of notification varies. While we have many members who prefer to only receive notification of WTSO’s new offers by email we also know that there are many of you who would prefer to not receive multiple emails each day from us. We have alternative methods of notification that do not require email. Follow us at @WTSO on Twitter or WTSOwines on Facebook and you will receive up to the minute notification of the new offers. What are Marathons?
Marathons are days when we sell a variety of wines (48-120 different wines, depending on the type of marathon) from midnight to midnight or 6am to midnight. Each wine is scheduled for a maximum run-time of 15 minutes but most wines sell out quicker than the allotted time. You will receive one email notice of the marathon two weeks before the event, one-week prior, and 24 hours in advance. These emails will describe the rules and parameters of the Marathon and may give a teaser of the wines to be offered. On a regular day we generally send an email notification with every new wine offered on the website. Since we cannot guarantee that you will receive the notification on time (and we do not want to fill your inbox or Facebook pages with more notifications than necessary) we do not send out any product emails, Facebook notifications, nor iOS (Apple app) push notifications during the Marathon. You will receive one email at the start of the marathon.
The only form of timely notification of a new wine offered on the website during the Marathon will be through @WTSO Twitter feed, the WTSO Android mobile application pull messaging (setting = “Marathon/5min”), or refreshing the website. The most efficient and timely mode of notification is the Twitter feed. You do not have to be a member of Twitter to receive the Tweets by SMS on your phone. Send the text “follow wtso” to phone number 40404 and your phone will begin to receive our text messages. Reply “Stop” to stop receiving the messages. Please note: Receiving the tweets by SMS is a service kindly provided by Twitter at no charge to you. Standard cellular texting charges will apply. However, any technical support required to help you receive the feed needs to be addressed with Twitter as we only post the notifications to WTSO on Twitter.
How long before I receive my wine?
Typically, your order ships within 2-5 business days. You will receive an email telling you that your order has shipped and will provide you with a tracking number. If your order isn't received within seven business days (10 days for the west coast using ground shipping), you should email us. We only ship Monday through Thursday to protect the wine. We offer FedEx 2nd day Express service for an additional charge. Express orders only ship Monday through Wednesday.
We are a very low overhead site allowing us to pass as much of the purchase savings as we can on to you, so please be patient with us during busy times of the year. We try very hard to ship as quickly as possible.
What is the schedule for new items?
There is no set schedule for new wines except for the new product released every day at midnight EST, seven days a week. Whenever a product sells out, a new wine will replace it.
I missed yesterday's wine. Can I still get it?
No. The last product is discontinued at 11:59pm EST. We may get more at a later date, if we're lucky, but we cannot promise that we will get additional inventory of a specific wine. We don't allow backorders and we do not have a waiting/notification list for sold out items.
In general, since every wine is only presented for a limited amount of time, if you see a wine that interests you, you should make your purchase. “Snag it when you see it. It won’t be there tomorrow.” Since every wine is guaranteed there is no risk.
I am trying to buy an offer that I was emailed, but a different wine appears on the website when I click “Buy Now”. What is going on?
This means the item you were trying to buy has already sold out. You are viewing the wine that is currently available to order.
I want to talk to a live person there. Can I call you?
In order to receive the fastest response please contact our customer service department via email anytime at firstname.lastname@example.org and we promise to respond the before the end of the next business day. You can call our customer service phone number at 866-246-2183 number and leave a message anytime, but please leave your email address as well for a quicker response.
Will WTSO ever tell us how many cases or bottles remain available in a given sale?
No. Some lots are hundreds of cases, while others are just a few. Where's the fun if you knew?
Can I be notified of a wine type that I like?
No. We do not separate our wine notifcations based on varietal. Once you become a member, you will be emailed with a link to the new wine lot with the description, rating and price. If you choose not to receive emails, you can always unsubscribe in your account page and still be able to purchase at anytime. You may follow us on Twitter (@WTSO), Facebook (WTSOwines), or mobile application (Apple/iOS and Android).
Does it cost me anything to sign up?
Never! Signing up just means you are becoming a member of the WinesTilSoldOut family. You will get an email notification each time a new item is listed on the site
How do I sign up?
Go to the main page of the WinesTilSoldOut site and click on the “Join Free” tab. Fill out the form by supplying us with a valid email address, password of your choice, and a unique nickname by which you will be known. Then click the Join Now button and your account is ready for buying wine at ridiculous prices. Only one account per email address is allowed.
I will take them all, what is my discount?
There is a maximum allowance of three cases (36 bottles) per order. We try to allow everyone the chance to buy each lot.
I'm a wholesaler/retailer. Can I buy from you in bulk?
No. You can buy a maximum of 36 bottles per wine.
I do not want to sign for a package. What do I do?
We are sorry but FedEx/UPS and the federal government require an adult signature for every package of wine delivered. You can bill and ship to different addresses if this helps.
What is your shipment hold policy?
During the checkout process, you have the opportunity to select a future ship date for your order by using the three-month drop-down calendar. If you would like your package held here at our temperature-controlled warehouse longer than three (3) months please specify a date of shipment in the Comments section of your Shopping Cart. Maximum hold time is six (6) months from time of purchase and we only ship Mondays through Thursdays.
FedEx/UPS broke a bottle in the package. What should I do?
Just email us! If the package was not received, we will refund your card in full. If you have accepted the package and a bottle is broken, we will refund your card for every bad bottle in the shipment. NO WORRIES!
How do I return a defective product (e.g. Corked or Cooked bottles)?
Email us! We stand behind every bottle we sell so you never have to worry! Sometimes in a lot you can have a bad bottle or the bottle is cooked or damaged in transit from our temperature-controlled warehouse to you. If for any reason you feel the wine is not good, you only need to notify us.
To repeat: We stand behind every bottle we sell. If you are not satisfied, neither are we. We believe that you should never pay for a bad bottle of wine.
